Livonia is the proud recipient of the 2009 NSLMPY Award sponsored by the American Library Association and by Follett library Resources. Established in 1963, the NSLMPY Award honors school library media
programs that are committed to ensuring that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information and that their programs are fully integrated into the school’s curriculum. Livonia's library staff was honored at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago during this past summer and at an award celebration and presentation in Livonia on October 13.
